About this report
Assertion 10 (Digital and data compliance) appears on the Annual Governance and Accountability Return from 2025-26 onwards. It was added by the Smaller Authorities Proper Practices Panel in the Practitioners’ Guide 2025, at paragraphs 1.48 to 1.54 and 5.121 to 5.128.
This report is a documentation check. It tells you whether the information the Code requires has been published, on time, in the required form. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace your internal auditor’s review.
